This defensive drill challenges players to help cut off a drive on the weak side and recover to their man in a game like closeout. Our philosophy is that if our players can learn to defend this type of closeout individually, then once it becomes 5-on-5 our overall team defense will benefit. This is a great drill for players to build trust in one another, that their teammates will have their back on every possession.
